Built on trust. Backed by experience.
Get to know the person who'll be looking after your numbers, and why he does this work the way he does.
Why I started BuiltRight
I'm Wyatt. I grew up in Annapolis, Maryland, and these days I'm in the Harrisburg area with my wife and our two dogs, helping business owners understand the numbers behind what they've built.
I've been at this for twelve years: a BBA, six years in corporate accounting, then my time with Intuit, with more than 3,000 engagements managed along the way. And in all those years, the pattern I kept noticing wasn't complicated. Owners weren't underserved because their books were wrong. They were underserved because nobody ever translated the books into decisions.
So that's the practice I built. Every client works directly with me. Your books stay current, your questions get real answers, and when something in your numbers deserves attention, you hear about it early.
I hold a CMA, NACPB and Intuit certifications, and QuickBooks ProAdvisor Levels 1 and 2. Credentials matter, but the standard behind them matters more: do the right thing, and sweat the details.
This work matters to me because I've seen what real financial clarity does for a business, and for the person running it. And when the laptop's closed, it's family, the dogs, some travel when we can, and getting a little better at this every year.
"I don't believe in transactional bookkeeping. I aim to be a true partner and right-hand resource for my clients, combining modern technology with real-world financial insight to help them make better decisions and grow with confidence."
Principles I hold myself to
These aren't slogans on a wall. They're the standard behind every set of books, every report, and every conversation.
1% better every day
Small, consistent daily improvements compound into meaningful, lasting growth, in my craft and in my clients' businesses.
Integrity first
Do the right thing, even when no one's watching. True integrity means holding yourself to a standard that doesn't depend on others.
Details matter
Small things done right separate good from great. Consistent execution of the little things defines the standard of the work.
No zero days
Every day gets at least one win, no matter how small. Winning the day builds the discipline that long-term success is made of.
The businesses I serve
Mostly service businesses that are past the startup scramble and ready to run things more deliberately. If that sounds like you, we'll probably get along.
