The story
Why I started BuiltRight
Wyatt · Founder
I'm Wyatt, originally from Annapolis, Maryland, now based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and I've spent over 12 years working with the finances of small and growing businesses.
For a long time I watched the same thing happen. A business owner would hire a bookkeeper, get a stack of reports they didn't really understand, and still have no idea whether they could afford to hire help, what their best month actually earned, or whether next quarter was going to be tight. The numbers were "done," but nobody was helping them make sense of any of it.
I spent six years in corporate accounting after earning my BBA, and over my career, including my time working with Intuit, I've managed more than 3,000 engagements. Again and again, I saw talented owners and creative entrepreneurs who were underserved when it came to real financial and business support. They were great at what they did. They just didn't have a true financial partner in their corner.
That's why I started BuiltRight Financial, to be the partner I wished those owners had. Someone who keeps the books clean, yes, but who also picks up the phone, explains things plainly, and helps you think through the decisions that actually move your business forward.
Outside of work, I'm focused on the same things a lot of my clients are: my family, a bit of travel, and getting a little better at what I do every year. This work matters to me because I've seen what a difference real financial clarity makes in someone's business and their peace of mind.
